Eco-Libris

Yesterday one of my residents dropped a leaflet under my door for a great organization called Eco-Libris which aims to replace the trees used to make books. This morning on bookmooch I noticed that they had a blog post about it too!
For each book you buy, you can go on their site (or just go do it yourself) and donate about $1 per book/tree and they will plant them where they can do the most good.
My book collection is at about 50 or so I would guess, so my cost is $47 to replace the trees I’ve borrowed. :)
They collaborate with some wonderful programs like sustainable harvest dot org and ripple africa.
Trees for books yay!

Thank you for writing on Eco-Libris. I’m happy to read that you’re also a bookmoocher, so you can enjoy our new partnership with bookmooch, where you receive mooch points for balancing out your books with us.

We are aiming to make reading more sustainable, and with the support of eco-cnscious readers like you I’m positive it’s doable.

    Thanks again,
